Data & Insights Team Coordinator, Equal Measures 2030 (EM2030)

· Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type Full-Time Exempt
Minimum Experience Entry-level

Plan works for girls’ rights. Harmful barriers like child marriage, human trafficking and gender-based violence are preventing girls and young women from achieving their full potential. Plan, along with government and private partners, fights against harmful gender norms and empowers young people to create positive change in their communities. We have worked in communities for more than 80 years and provide locally-driven programming through 240 offices around the world.

Plan International USA is fully committed to the safeguarding of all children and young people from all forms of violence.

EM2030 is a joint effort of leading regional and global organizations from civil society and the development and private sectors who believe that data can expose inequality and injustice, motivate policy change, and drive accountability. We work together to connect data and evidence with advocacy and action to ensure governments deliver on the promise of gender equality by 2030.  Our vision is a just world, where all girls and women have equal power, voice, opportunity and access to their rights, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The organizations that make up the EM2030 Partnership Council are the African Women’s Development and Communication Network (FEMNET), Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Comité de América Latina y El Caribe para la Defensa de los Derechos de las Mujeres (CLADEM), Data2X, the International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC), KPMG International, ONE Campaign, Plan International, and Women Deliver.

The Data & Insights Team leads on the development of EM2030 data, analysis and tools, including the SDG Gender Index launched in June 2019. The index is a tool for monitoring of and accountability for gender-related targets, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. The Data & Insights team also produces analytic and capacity development tools and products and supports national partners with data technical support, based on their articulated needs.
